Fleet Maintenence Director (Based in Bangkok with occasional travel)
My client is a European Third Party Logistics (3PL) company. They have a blueprint that covers the entire APAC Region and the preferred candidate will be a Thai National with +8 years experience in a similar industry OR an expat with working experience of South East Asia (Preferably spending 5+ years In Thailand in a senior role)
As fleet Maintenence Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the fleet of vehicles used to transport goods and services. In a 3PL context, fleet managers play a crucial role in ensuring that the logistics services provided to clients are reliable, efficient, and cost-effective.
You will report directly to the President Of Contract Logistics, based in Singapore
Their primary duties will typically include:
Vehicle Maintenance: Ensuring that all vehicles in the fleet are well-maintained, regularly serviced, and compliant with safety and regulatory standards.
Route Planning and Optimization: Developing efficient routes to minimize travel time and fuel consumption while maximizing delivery efficiency.
Driver Management: Recruiting, training, and supervising drivers to ensure they adhere to company policies and legal regulations. This includes managing driver schedules, performance, and safety.
Fleet Tracking and Monitoring: Utilizing GPS and other tracking technologies to monitor the location and performance of vehicles in real-time. This helps in managing logistics, tracking shipments, and ensuring timely deliveries.
Budget Management: Managing the budget for fleet operations, including fuel costs, maintenance expenses, and other related costs. This also involves finding ways to reduce costs without compromising on service quality.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring that all fleet operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including vehicle registrations, inspections, and driver qualifications.
Performance Analysis and Reporting: Analyzing fleet performance data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Preparing reports for upper management to inform decision-making.
Safety Management: Implementing and enforcing safety protocols to minimize accidents and injuries. This includes conducting regular safety training and audits.
Customer Service: Coordinating with clients to ensure their logistics needs are met and addressing any issues or concerns related to fleet operations.
