Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Over 8 years of experience in cloud architecture, data engineering, and IT architecture, with a proven history of designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure IT solutions.
- Strong grasp of cloud computing principles and technologies, with hands-on experience in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Java, with experience in developing and optimizing data pipelines and a working knowledge of database concepts and technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, capable of translating business requirements into technical solutions and influencing decision-making at all levels of the organization.
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities, with experience managing and mentoring technical teams, and a commitment to fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the development and upkeep of data pipelines, data warehouses, and analytics platforms to bolster data-driven decision-making, ensuring the highest standards of data integrity, security, and compliance.
- Navigate data residency and transfer laws across the APAC region, effectively managing personal identification data (PII) in crafting technical solutions.
- Seamlessly integrate data warehouses with reporting platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to empower business users with self-service capabilities for generating both standard and ad hoc reports.
- Design and deploy cloud infrastructure solutions encompassing compute, storage, networking, and security to ensure robust scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Craft and sustain the overarching IT architecture strategy and roadmap, aligning with business goals and embracing emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—IT operations, software development, and business stakeholders—to gather requirements, assess technological options, and propose architectural solutions.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement by evaluating emerging technologies and trends in cloud computing, data engineering, and architecture, conducting proofs of concept and feasibility studies as needed.
- Establish and enforce architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices across the organization, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to IT teams, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration, and conducting regular performance evaluations and skill development initiatives.
- Partner with stakeholders to effectively communicate architecture decisions, risks, and trade-offs, participating in executive-level discussions to provide insights and recommendations.
