Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager for a client based in the Philippines. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in power plant project or services sales, and/or power project development, and/or managing role in an electricity regulatory body or electrical utility. You will be responsible for leading short to long term project origination and new built energy business sales work in the Philippines, and working according to Energy Next process in Sales BDM role. You will also be responsible for accurately forecasting and delivering sales each with profitability and risk profiles according to company directives, and proactively working to enable cross-divisional and cross-organizational cooperation throughout the sales process.
Responsibilities
Lead short to long term project origination and new built energy business sales work in Philippines and report the progress to relevant stakeholders.
Work according to Energy Next process in Sales BDM role.
Accurately forecast and deliver sales each with profitability and risk profiles according to company directives
Proactively work to enable cross-divisional and cross-organizational cooperation throughout the sales process
Negotiate terms and conditions of contract
Ensure high level customer relationship management
Increase awareness of solutions and services and identify and develop relationships with potential customers
Drive Energy Business’ mission, vision and values
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Science and/or Economics
5 years of power plant project or services sales, and/or power project development experience, and/or managing role in an electricity regulatory body or electrical utility.
Capable of interacting and developing strong relationships with senior decision-makers in customer’s organization
Comprehensive understanding of the energy sector’s technical and economic fundamentals
Understanding of power plant financing, construction, operation and economic drivers
Good engineering understanding, preferably from the power plant business
Technical product portfolio knowledge (reciprocating engines and/or battery storage)
Understanding customer and its business
Understanding sales financials and value selling
Excellent sales and contract negotiation skills
Excellent communication skills
Strong planning skills
Team player attitude with the ability to lead the sales team
Self-starter with an entrepreneurial attitude
Goal-oriented “closer”
Able to work in cross-cultural teams
Tagalog knowledge is a plus.
