As part of their exciting growth, they’re seeking an experienced Country Procurement Manager to lead their procurement operations across Indonesia.
 

Job Description

The Country Procurement Manager will lead the procurement functions for both direct and indirect categories within Indonesia. This role is responsible for optimising category strategies, ensuring compliance, and supporting the development of the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of procurement strategies for both direct and indirect categories.
  • Manage a high-performing procurement team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support for their development.
  • Foster strong relationships with key suppliers across both categories, ensuring compliance with sustainability goals and corporate policies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to ensure alignment with procurement objectives and maximise value.
  • Lead procurement governance and ensure consistency in process execution, including sourcing, value reporting, and contract management.
  • Oversee the procurement lifecycle, from supplier selection through to contract management, ensuring best practices are followed and value is maximised.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement process to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

 

Key Decisions

  • Define and execute category strategies for both direct and indirect procurement, making decisions on supplier selection, negotiation, and procurement processes.
  • Influence business leaders on procurement priorities, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Make strategic recommendations on supplier management, cost-saving initiatives, and sustainability practices.

 

Qualifications and Experiences

  • A university degree in Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in procurement, proficient in direct and indirect categories, preferably in the FMCG sector.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a leadership role, managing cross-functional teams across multiple regions. Experience leading international and multi-cultural teams is essential.
  • Expertise in managing complex supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with corporate governance, sustainability goals, and ethical practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, category strategies, governance, and supplier management.
  • Knowledge of sustainability goals, renewable energy initiatives, emissions reduction, and ethical supplier standards.
  • Advanced English proficiency, with strong communication and negotiation skills.
