Position Overview:
The Director of Operations will oversee and manage the end-to-end operations of our manufacturing facility. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong manufacturing, engineering, quality, and supply chain management background. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving operational excellence, implementing automation and IoT solutions, and optimizing production planning processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Manufacturing Operations:
  – Lead and manage the semiconductor manufacturing operations to ensure efficient and effective production processes.
  – Develop and implement manufacturing strategies to meet production targets, quality standards, and cost objectives.
  – Oversee the maintenance and optimization of manufacturing equipment and facilities.

Engineering and Quality:
  – Collaborate with the engineering team to drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices in manufacturing processes.
  – Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements throughout the production lifecycle.
  – Lead quality assurance and control programs to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction.

Operational Excellence:
  – Drive a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement across all aspects of the manufacturing operations.
  – Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  – Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and improve operational performance.

Automation and IoT
  – Lead the implementation of automation and IoT solutions to streamline manufacturing processes and improve productivity.
  – Evaluate and integrate advanced technologies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
  – Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of automation systems.

Supply Chain Management
  – Oversee supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and products.
  – Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure a reliable and responsive supply chain.
  – Optimize supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks.

Production Planning
  – Lead production planning and scheduling activities to ensure optimal utilization of resources and meet customer demand.
  – Develop and implement production plans that align with business objectives and market requirements.
  – Monitor production schedules and adjust plans as needed to accommodate changes in demand or production capacity.

Qualifications:

– A bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
– Minimum of 10 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or a related industry, with at least five years in leadership.
– Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, engineering principles, and quality management systems.
– Proven experience in implementing automation and IoT solutions in a manufacturing environment.
– Demonstrated expertise in supply chain management, production planning, and operational excellence.
– Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to think strategically and drive change in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
